Not every race fits neatly into a standard training plan. Some events are more remote, more technical, longer, or simply too unique to build a one-size-fits-all approach around.

If the race you’re targeting is not currently listed in our shop, this custom training plan option allows us to build a structured plan around your specific event, experience level, goals, and available training time.

Whether you’re preparing for your first ultra or taking on a major endurance challenge, the training will be tailored to the demands of your race rather than forcing your race to fit a generic template.

We have previously supported runners preparing for:

  • 50km ultras

  • 50 mile races

  • 100 mile ultras

  • 200+ mile endurance events

  • Multi-day challenges including Marathon des Sables style events

Every plan is built using RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) to guide intensity and effort. This keeps training flexible, practical, and adaptable to real-world conditions such as terrain, fatigue, weather, and life outside training.

Rather than chasing rigid pace targets, RPE allows you to train based on how your body is responding day-to-day, which is especially important for trail, mountain, and ultra-distance racing where terrain and elevation can dramatically affect pace.

Your custom plan will be built around factors such as:

  • Race distance and terrain

  • Elevation profile and technicality

  • Your current fitness and training history

  • Weekly training availability

  • Experience level

  • Goal outcome and race priorities

How do I recieve my plan?

  • Once you make your purchase we will be directly in touch via email.

  • You’ll get a email from Training Peaks when we have sent you the training plan

  • You can create a Training Peaks account here

What is Training Peaks Premium?

One of the big differences is it gives you the ability to move workouts. Whilst we don’t recommend changing our plans structure, moving workouts around to fit your schedule better can be more productive overall. Don’t worry, we won’t leave you on your own. If you have any questions get in touch.
